TANGERANG- In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, companies are required to maximize technology in their routines. One way is to look at the application of Robotic Process Automation (RPA). In a webinar entitled RPA for Better Digital Transformation Journey which took place on Monday (29/6), it was shown how RPA can be used to facilitate business activities.

One of the speakers, the lecturer of Mobile Application Programming of Informatics Study Program of UMN, Alexander Waworuntu, explained that RPA is simply defined as the activity of using robot software to automate repetitive business processes that previously took place manually.

He explained that the Automatic Toll Gate (GTO) is a clear example of the application of RPA in the industrial world that can be found today.

“We can see that, with automation, we can provide better services. Faster service, “he explained.

The main advantage of automation through RPA is unlimited productivity. With RPA, a job can be done in large volumes and in a small amount of time.

“As long as the system is still running, as long as there is electricity, it can continue working. No need to eat, he can work 24 hours, ”he explained.
