What is Digital Learning (DL) Strategic Communication?
The Digital Learning Study Program is designed for students who wants to pursue a Bachelor of Communication Science degree with a more flexible study time. Academic learning that is carried out through E-learning allows students to be able to study anywhere and anytime.
Through the Strategic Communication DL Study Program, students will learn all forms of communication related to business, brands, and companies. Students learn how a company or a brand communicates their messages to the public.

Universitas Multimedia Nusantara’s Strategic Communication study program not only prepares students with theoretical knowledge, but with hands-on practice. This provides students with the opportunity to experience and explore how the industrial world is currently working. Educating students with the knowledge of technological developments (ICT) such as the use of the Multimedia Laboratory and Collabo Hub as their working laboratories in producing communication messages so that graduates have a balanced competence between understanding theory and its implementation in practice to the use of technology in facing the real world. This provision is made-to-measure to the current needs of Industry 4.0. In addition, UMN’s strategic communication has collaborated with Skystar Ventures, a Business Incubator owned by UMN, giving students the opportunity to graduate in three and a half years by forming a project. Through the Fast Track path, Skystar Ventures will provide guidance and will fund students in running their business so that they will be prepared to become entrepreneurs who are able to start their own business ventures and can complete lectures in a shorter time period.

Learning Objective
Prepare students to pursue a life as bachelors of communication science who’ve mastered the concepts and theories related to communication and fully understand the development of technology (ICT) and their application in the field of communication as well as understanding the use of various kinds of multimedia channels in producing communication products creatively. In addition to this, it prepares students to be able to solve communication problems that occur in society in accordance with applicable ethics and norms.
Curriculum
Students of the UMN Digital Learning Strategic Communication Study Program will learn about theory and practice related to communication during the study period. In general, the curriculum for the DL UMN Strategic Communication Study Program can be explained as follows:
First Year: Students will learn about the foundation of communication theory, introduction to public relations and advertising. Also in this first year, students are taught to be critical and creative and are introduced to multimedia-based programs.
Second Year: Students will learn about various forms of communication ranging from small environments such as interpersonal communication to a wider scope such as mass communication. Students will have a deeper understanding of public relations and advertising activities complemented through their knowledge of the media industry, politics, global issues and digital data analytics.
Third Year: Students explore the field of strategic communication by studying more specific subjects such as Corporate Communication Management, Reputation Management, Community Relations and Engagement and others. Furthermore, on the third year students can also carry out an internship program.
Fourth Year: Students will carry out an entrepreneurship program and work on a final project.

Profiles of graduates of the Multimedia Public Relations Concentration:
- Professionals (Practitioners of Corporate Communication / Public Relations Career fields are available for graduates who want to build a career in government and non-government institutions as corporate communication / Public Relations practitioners. This field also includes Media Relations, Government Relations, Investor Relations, Internal Relations, and Community Relations.
- Researcher in the field of Corporate Communication / Public Relations. This field is available for graduates who want a career in the field of Corporate Communication research both from the aspects of sources, content, audiences, and effects in multimedia technology, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Corporate Communication / PR Consultant. This field is available for graduates who want a career as a Corporate Communication / Public Relations Consultant, assisting companies in designing corporate communication strategies. In addition, graduates can also build agencies in these fields,
- Academics This field can be chosen by graduates who are interested in building careers as academics / lecturers in the field of Communication Studies, of course after graduates continue their Masters studies in that field.

Jalur beasiswa UMN diberikan bagi siswa-siswi SMA Kelas XII yang memiliki prestasi akademik, olah raga, dan kesenian pada saat di kelas XI. Selain itu, UMN memberikan kepada siswa-siswi SMA/SMK yang memiliki prestasi mendapatkan medali pada Olimpiade Sains Nasional dan Internasional.. Sebagai wujud penghargaan atas pengabdian para guru dan para karyawan/staff dalam mendidik anak bangsa, UMN memberikan beasiswa berupa pengurangan uang pangkal sebesar 50% bagi anak guru/kepala sekolah dan pengurangan uang pangkal sebesar 30% bagi anak karyawan/staff di sekolah SMA/SMK Negeri/Swasta yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan di UMN.

1. Gear
Gear melambangkan dunia keteknikan yang memiliki prinsip teknik yaitu menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan solusi yang tepat. Gear memiliki 10 mata gear terbuka untuk dapat menyatukan keberagaman mahasiswa teknik dengan rasa kekeluargaan sehingga saling terhubung satu sama lain. Gear berwarna biru melambangkan HIMFERA termasuk salah satu himpunan pada Fakultas Teknik dan Informatika di Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.
Daun
2. Daun
Daun melambangkan sustainable (berkelanjutan). Berkelanjutan yang dimaksud memiliki peribahasa, kelangsungan hidup daun di pohon selalu bertumbuh dan berkelanjutan. Bahkan ketika daun telah gugur, daun ini tetap bermanfaat menjadi pupuk bagi kelangsungan hidup pohon itu sendiri dan atau sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, berdirinya HIMFERA bertujuan memberikan manfaat bagi anggota-anggota himpunan dalam berorganisasi dan dapat memberikan karya terbaik untuk almamater dan masyarakat di sekitarnya sehingga manfaat yang didapatkan tetap berkelanjutan. Warna hijau pada daun melambangkan keterbukaan HIMFERA dalam berkomunikasi dan menerima aspirasi mahasiswa Teknik Fisika dan Teknik Elektro di Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.

3. Kilatan Petir
Petir pada daun menjadi dasar tonggak dari daun tersebut. Dasar tonggak ini menentukan arah dari perjalanan organisasi kami untuk mewujudkan tujuan dari HIMFERA. Seperti kita ketahui bahwa sifat petir memiliki kekuatan yang sangat besar. Oleh karena itu, kami terinspirasi dari ilmuwan Benjamin Franklin saat menangkap petir menggunakan layangan dan energi tersebut dapat terkumpul menjadi muatan listrik yang bermanfaat untuk menghidupkan listrik. Dari sini kami memetik manfaat dari petir tersebut yaitu menjadi organisasi yang memiliki kemampuan mengambil keputusan yang sigap, tepat, dan dapat menjadi solusi ditengah permasalahan yang ada. Petir yang tidak berwarna untuk mencerminkan prinsip kerja yang transparansi. Transparansi bermakna keterbukaan dan pertanggung-jawaban atas keputusan yang sudah dibuat.

To support the learning process, umn provided a complete and sophisticated college facility, according to industrial standards. Through the existence of the facility, students have been invited to be close to the industrial world since sitting in college and to have competence that matches the needs of the industry. That way, it will make it easier for umn students to find jobs, even before graduation.

In order to help students explore and develop their non-academic potentials, UMN also provides a variety of extra-curricular activities for students which is locally called UKM, Student Activity Unit.
